Galloping about in Gamesley

Gamesley Library
18th August
haunted doors and walls and rooms...
our adventures began with haunted castles, a rainbow tree, toadstools, magic wells and the hollow walls of Sutton Scarsdale Hall and grew into exciting times for a princess and her monkey, a elf-maid, helpful eagles, terrifying dragons, an earth-bound, mud-buried, grumpy skeleton and the tasty delight of monkey fruit from the rainbow tree
who could resist a house like this?

The path to adventures
Through the wood of spooky trees
and through old Sandal Castle.
Between the branches of the rainbow tree,
And the cold empty rooms of an abandoned hall.
Down the damp cold depths of a magic well.
And up the secret tunnels and into the haunted rooms
of a haunted house.
Across the garden and heading home,
While a small ghost watches from the small window
At the very top of the crumbling house,
Left behind again

precision work on an eagle-puppet
the princess' pet monkey

an excitable goblin
(they never quite get photographed!)

Skeleton Boy!

Thanks to all our Gamesley storymakers, puppeteers and artists
The Princess managed to avoid being photographed - if her agent would like to send a publicity shot in, we'd be pleased to display it!
